Titans Tidbits
Jim Wyatt is the beat writer who covers the Titans and is one of the best in the business. Jim hosts a Tuesday Mailbag where he answers questions from Titans fans. Here are some of his thoughts on the team so far.
While Brian Callahan will still be running his offense, they are likely to try to play to Cam Ward’s strengths and install plays that are comfortable for him.
After Xavier Restrepo’s Pro Day, the Titans met with him for a private workout. They are obviously less concerned about his 40-time given that he set Miami records for receptions & receiving yards while being fourth all-time in TDs.
Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears are locks at running back this year for the Titans. Jim believes they will keep three or four backs on the roster with Julius Chestnut and sixth-round pick Kalel Mullings as the favorites for the remaining spots.
Believes the revamped offensive line will be significantly improved this year and Elic Ayomanor looks big and explosive so far in minicamp.
