As predicted, the Tennessee Titans opened the 2025 NFL Draft on April 24 by selecting Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick, addressing their most pressing need at QB. Ward’s selection signals a franchise reset, leveraging Callahan’s experience with quarterbacks like Peyton Manning, Matthew Stafford, and Joe Burrow. We will see who the Titans target in the 2nd & 3rd rounds tonight. There are still elite level prospects remaining on the board including Missouri WR Luther Burden.
Elsewhere, the Atlanta Falcons traded up to select James Pearce Jr. at No. 26. They originally selected Georgia’s Jalon Walker at No. 15. With their trade back to return again to the first round, the Falcons sent the Los Angeles Rams picks No. 46, No. 242, and a 2026 first-rounder, while receiving No. 101 alongside that 26th pick. This is Tennessee’s second 1st Round pick in the past two years with Darnell Wright being drafted No. 10 by the Chicago Bears in the 2023 draft.
